Analyst Program

A Preview of the Executive Board

The Analyst Program is the first level of leadership in NDIC, offering members an opportunity to deepen their knowledge of portfolio management and investment decisions. Analysts’ primary role is covering a specific stock within the portfolio, gaining in-depth knowledge of the company and industry to make informed recommendations when the Board decides they want to revisit a stock in the portfolio to potentially hold or sell. After being paired with one or two Board Members to make the coverage team, Analysts create detailed coverage reports, track quarterly earnings, stay up to date on relevant news, then present those if the Board calls for a coverage report. Beyond that, Analysts participate in post-pitch discussions alongside the Board, give buy/sell opinions before the Board votes on any given pitch, and encouraged to pitch a stock; Analysts are given preference when pitch spots are limited. Overall, the Analyst Program emphasizes deeply researching a portfolio name, actively participating in meetings, and pitching during the semester, all of which sharpen investing acumen and position Analysts well for future Board Member seats.

Interviews for the Analyst Program are held at the end of the academic year, though interviews may be held at the end of the Fall semester at Club Leadership's discretion.
